Become A BiG Citizen

BiG is expanding!

Due to high demand, the admissions for our main campus remains full. Therefore, we have decided to offer our BiG program at satellite locations. We are preparing to launch two satellites in the next year- one in Georgetown in July at Georgetown Church of Christ and one in Austin in January at Austin Ridge Church: Bee Cave Campus. Satellites will be part of the BiG community with the same model and culture of BiG, but they will be their own programs and not feed into our current location.

BiG is a post high school program for adults with special needs.  In Texas, there are programs through the school systems through age 21, therefore we will accept applications beginning at age 20 for placement after age 21.

To become a BiG Citizen, applicants must complete the following 5 steps:

Step 1 - TOUR

Take a glance at our innovative vocational program to better understand BiG culture and our goals as an organization. Tours are available every Wednesday at 10:15 please contact 512-943-8430 to reserve a spot.

Step 2 - APPLICATION

We are currently accepting applications for our Georgetown Church of Christ & Austin Ridge: Bee Cave satellites. Feel free to reach out to Anne at anne@bigtx.org.

Step 3 - INTERVIEW

Take part in an interview with BiG staff.

Step 4 - EVALUATION/VOLUNTEER DAY

Upon completion of the BiG application and initial interview, a committee will evaluate the applicant and come to an enrollment decision following a volunteer day. The volunteer day will be an opportunity for a prospective Citizen to participate for a day in the program.

Step 5 - ENROLLMENT

If our program is a good fit for the applicant, the applicant will be notified of acceptance into our program.
